Transwave is the legendary psytrance project of Christof Drouillet (aka Absolum) and Frédéric Holyszewski (aka Deedrah).
The duo first met at a Paris rave in June 1994, and only three months later released their debut Datura EP on Loren X’s French label Transpact.

Over the years, Transwave established itself as a pioneering force in the global psychedelic trance scene, releasing five influential albums: Hypnorhythm (Step 2 House, France – 1995), Helium (Matsuri, UK – 1996), Phototropic (Distance, France – 1996), Backfire (3D Vision, Spain – 2005), and Frontfire (Fineplay, Japan – 2007). Their productions and live performances have taken them across the world, cementing their reputation in the underground while reaching mainstream recognition with the international trance anthem “Land of Freedom” – later remixed by Liquid Soul and supported by Armin Van Buuren.

Renowned for their extensive use of analog gear such as the Roland SH-101 and TB-303, Transwave crafted a distinctive sound that defined the Goa trance era of the 90s, standing alongside iconic names like Man With No Name, Astral Projection, X-Dream, and Hallucinogen. Today, their legacy continues to inspire new generations of producers and fans across the psychedelic music spectrum.
